  2. The configuration of what parts of the system run is more flexible now.
  3. Everything that should run must have an entry in Boss/components.

  6. libdhcp: Support for DHCPv4 packet manipulation is now implemented.
  7. All fixed fields are now supported. Generic support for DHCPv4
  8. options is available (both parsing and assembly). There is no code
  9. that uses this new functionality yet, so it is not usable directly
  10. at this time. This code will be used by upcoming b10-dhcp4 daemon.

  13. b10-xfrin would previously initiate incoming transfers upon
  14. receiving NOTIFY messages from any address (if the zone was
  15. known to b10-xfrin, and using the configured address). It now
  16. only starts a transfer if the source address from the NOTIFY
  17. packet matches the configured master address and port. This was
  18. really already fixed in release bind10-devel-20111014, but there
  19. were some deferred cleanups to add.

  22. datasrc: Added C++ API for adding zone differences to database
  23. based data sources. It's intended to be used for the support for
  24. IXFR-in and dynamic update (so they can subsequently be retrieved
  25. for IXFR-out). The addRecordDiff method of the DatabaseAccessor
  26. defines the interface, and a concrete implementation for SQLite3
  27. was provided.

  30. Added an initial framework for doing system tests using the
  31. cucumber-based BDD tool Lettuce. A number of general steps are
  32. included, for instance running bind10 with specific
  33. configurations, sending queries, and inspecting query answers. A
  34. few very basic tests are included as well.

  37. Fixed a bug in bindctl where tab-completion for names that
  38. contain a hyphen resulted in unexpected behaviour, such as
  39. appending the already-typed part again.

  42. Fixed a bug where bindctl could not set a value that is optional
  43. and has no default, resulting in the error that the setting
  44. itself was unknown. bindctl now correctly sees the setting and
  45. is able to set it.

  53. The configure script will now use pkg-config for finding
  54. information about the Botan library. If pkg-config is unavailable,
  55. or unaware of Botan, it will fall back to botan-config. It will
  56. also use botan-config when a specific botan library directory is

  990. 138. [func]* jinmei
  991. b10-auth: added a configuration interface to support in memory
  992. data sources. For example, the following command to bindctl
  993. will configure a memory data source containing the "example.com"
  994. zone with the zone file named "example.com.zone":
  995. > config set Auth/datasources/ [{"type": "memory", "zones": \
  996. [{"origin": "example.com", "file": "example.com.zone"}]}]
  997. By default, the memory data source is disabled; it must be
  998. configured explicitly. To disable it again, specify a null list
  999. for Auth/datasources:
  1000. > config set Auth/datasources/ []
1001. Notes: it's currently for class IN only. The zone files are not
1002. actually loaded into memory yet (which will soon be implemented).
1003. This is an experimental feature and the syntax may change in
  1004. future versions.
  1005. (Trac #446, svn r3998)
  1006. 137. [bug] jreed
1007. Fix run_*.sh scripts that are used for development testing

  1009. (Trac #226, svn r3989)
  1010. 136. [bug] jelte
1011. bindctl (and the configuration manager in general) now no longer
1012. accepts 'unknown' data; i.e. data for modules that it does not know
1013. about, or configuration items that are not specified in the .spec
  1014. files.

1032. src/lib/datasrc: Introduced two template classes RBTree and RBNode

1038. src/lib/datasrc: Introduced a new class MemoryDataSrc to provide

  1044. 129. [func] jinmei
1045. src/lib/dns: Added new functions masterLoad() for loading master

1090. The master file parser of the python datasrc module incorrectly
1091. regarded a domain name beginning with a decimal number as a TTL
1092. specification. This confused b10-loadzone and had it reject to
1093. load a zone file that contains such a name.
1094. Note: this fix is incomplete and the loadzone would still be
1095. confused if the owner name is a syntactically indistinguishable
1096. from a TTL specification. This is part of a more general issue

  1098. 118. [func] jinmei
1099. src/lib/dns: changed the interface of

  1274. 80. [bug] jelte
1275. bindctl no longer accepts configuration changes for unknown or

  1280. 79. [func] feng, jinmei
1281. Refactored the ASIO link interfaces to move incoming XFR and
1282. NOTIFY processing to the auth server class. Wrapper classes for
1283. ASIO specific concepts were also provided, so that other BIND 10
1284. modules can (eventually) use the interface without including the
1285. ASIO header file directly. On top of these changes, AXFR and
1286. NOTIFY processing was massively improved in terms of message
1287. validation and protocol conformance. Detailed tests were provided
  1288. to confirm the behavior.
1289. Note: Right now, NOTIFY doesn't actually trigger subsequent zone
1290. transfer due to security reasons. (Trac #221, r2565)
  1291. 78. [bug] jinmei
1292. lib/dns: Fixed miscellaneous bugs in the base32 (hex) and hex
1293. (base16) implementation, including incorrect padding handling,
1294. parser failure in decoding with a SunStudio build, missing
1295. validation on the length of encoded hex string. Test cases were
1296. more detailed to identify these bugs and confirm the fix. Also
1297. renamed the incorrect term of "base32" to "base32hex". This
1298. changed the API, but they are not intended to be used outside
1299. libdns++, so we don't consider it a backward incompatible change.

  1313. 74. [func]* jinmei
1314. Refactored the cc::Session class by introducing an abstract base

1316. tests can be done without establishing a real CC session. This
1317. change also modified some public APIs, mainly in the config
  1318. module. (Trac #275, r2459)
  1319. 73. [bug] jelte
1320. Fixed a bug where in bindctl, locally changed settings were

1604. [build] compilation and installation infrastructure change.
1605. [doc] update to documentation. This shouldn't change run time behavior.
